"Design Partnership in My Eyes”Photo and Film Competition Rules
1. The competition is organized by Zespół Szkół Ekonomiczno-Chemicznych w Trzebini – Uzupełniające Liceum nr 1 w Trzebini.
2. “Design Partnership In My Eyes” is a photo and film competition open to the participants of the COMENIUS “All Equal at European Schools” project.
3. Teachers and tutors of the students involved in the above-mentioned COMENIUS project are not eligible to take part in the competition.
4. The competition will be split into two categories: a. Photo (each participant may enter up to 5 photographs) b. Photo or film essay (with a running length of up to 10 minutes)
5. The photographs and films must be thematically related to the project.
6. Entrants to the competition will submit up to 5 photographs in the JPG or RAW format or a photo/film essay made using any image or video editing software (e.g. Movie maker, PhotoStory) to the project workgroup manager. The entrants are required to provide all captions and descriptions in English. The running length of a film essay must not exceed 10 minutes.
7. The competition will be run in several stages. Each visit to a partner school abroad will be a stage of the competition. Entries (a photograph or a photo essay) should be submitted within a month from the end of a meeting between partner schools.
8. The winner of each stage will be nominated for the main prize.
9. Each entry will be published on the Our First Comenius Wikispaces homepage. Participants of the project will pick the winner by posting comments. The photograph or essay with the highest number of positive comments shall receive a nomination for the main prize.
10. In case of doubt the Jury reserves the right to make the final decision.
11. From among the nominees for the main prize the Jury shall select the winners of the competition granting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in the two above-mentioned categories.
12. The main prize (surprise) will be funded jointly by the partner schools involved in the “All Equal at European Schools” project.
13. The organizing body is authorised to publish the photos and films submitted by the participants on the Internet or school notice board.
14. The entrants acknowledge that they have full copyright of the images submitted for the competition and that they have obtained the relevant permission of any and all persons in those photographs.
15. By sending an application to their school coordinator of the “All Equal at European Schools” project, the participants accept the rules and conditions of the competition as laid out in this document.
